In aansluiting bij de interdisciplinaire minor Re-Mix: Creativity, Participation and Ownership in a Digital Age wordt elk jaar een symposium georganiseerd. Dit jaar wordt dat symposium georganiseerd door Nelleke Moser, die verantwoordelijk is voor de minorcursus ‘From Commonplace to Copy-Paste: Readers Using Texts’.Het symposium, Remix in Retrospect: Looking Back to See the Future of Authorship, gaat over de veranderende rollen van auteurs en lezers in verschillende stadia van de mediageschiedenis (van manuscript tot druk en digitale tekstualiteit) en de implicaties van deze veranderingen voor de creatie van teksten en de status van auteurschap.
Remix in Retrospect: Looking Back to See the Future of Authorship zal plaatsvinden op de VU, op 21 oktober 2011. Zie de website voor actuele informatie.
